  1. Bernie-Great home page look, I had to do a double take but its really cool. I was 6 years old at the time so I don't remember if I watched it or not. I may have to pick up the Sullivan DVDs to check it out. I've seen clips but that's all.
  2. Keith Urban-he's country, but plays some guitar licks like a rocker.
  3. This is why we don't talk politics here on the board...Because we all don't disagree, and in America these days it is getting to be a bad thing to be anywhere left of the right wing. And I would not want Bill O'Reilly for president-I personally find him rude and obnoxious. However, I think we should agree to disagree.
  4. Steve-Hope you are feeling better. My brother-in-law just had to have an angiogram and stents put in just before Christmas. I have been trying to watch myself, but thanks for the warning. We all need to take care of ourselves, so we can have a healthy and happy life.
  5. That was funny! Poor dog, I hope he was ok.

I remember the song "Sign of the Gypsy Queen" but didn't remember who did it. I liked that song when it was on the radio. Now I know! I may have to see what I can find of the group.
  7. Darlene-Let's not do any camera stuff, especially at my end. I don't look very good after those twelve hour shifts, or in the morning, or after drinking a few, etc, etc, etc! :p
  8. Darlene-Nice to have you back. We've all missed you. I think you look great in the picture. Much better than I looked back then. <img border="0" alt="[blech!]" title="" src="graemlins/blech.gif" /> Needless to say, Eric looked great too! Lucky you!
  9. Merry Christmas to all here. May Santa leave only nice things in your stocking tonight.
  10. Confusious say "Open raincoat, insert foot!" I log on when I have something important to say. I prefer to lurk and laugh.
  11. Stu-I listened to your song, and it was pretty cool. I will be the first to admit that I know nothing about the writing/production side of the music business, and nothing about anyone who I can compare your music, but I found it haunting and moving. Thanks for posting it on the site. In the early 80's we had a serial killer around the area who randomly killed like 7 people. I can understand the fear. The song reminded me of the fear that was in the area until they caught him and put him away, then executed him.
  12. I never liked the horns, but I can understand the Beatle-like sound. It would be interesting to hear it live without the horns.
  13. I spend a lot of time as one of the lurkers who doesn't always sign in. I read almost all of the posts. It is obvious to me that Marvin has a lot of musical experience and has much to add to the discussions. He has obvious likes and dislikes, as we all do. I personally think that he has the right to be here, and is a fan of EC/berries music. Even Eric has songs that he likes/dislikes. I think a lot of the women tend to like more of the ballads than the men do, which is why more of the women like WD than the men.
  14. Bernie-Is there a time that we should watch for the xmas present? I am working on Christmas Day for 12 long hours, and I have to check either before I go to work at 6:30 am, or when I get home at 7:30 pm. This is the time when it stinks to be a nurse-someone has to work on the holidays!
  15. Eric-Here's hoping that your birthday provides you with as much pleasure as your music has given me. Enjoy!
  16. Tony- That's just too funny! I love coming home after working my 12 hour shifts and reading the board. It never fails to make me laugh! Thanks for making my day!
  17. Beep- Your story has really touched my heart. Consider us part of your family, too. We may be a bit disfunctional at times (especially Tony ) but we're always here.(Sometimes I just lerk too, and laugh at the banter.) As for suggested listening CDs, I think that most of us are fans of "IWas Born to Love You" also known as "Winter Dreams"as that was the Japanese version of the same album. Lots of easy listening/ adult contempary softer music. We also like "Boats Against the Current" but that is only available as a Japanese import, a bit pricey that way. Any EC cd is worth it, even if all you can find is a greatest hits cd. Also, Bernie usually puts MP3's up on the main EC site, and you can get some great music that way.
  18. Beep- I think you make great sense. Most people here jump from topic to topic anyway, so you fit right in. Thanks for the comment about the picture, maybe one of these days I will be brave. I hope that you get better soon. Maybe I can follow you OK because I'm a nurse, I am used to people talking under the influence of medication!
  19. And Farrah?!? Eric looks like he's aged much better than her. I could say a few things but I better not-I might offend someone. Let's just say I don't think he's her type.
  20. Marvin-click on the profile icon. Beep's even got a picture up! (something I'm not brave enough to do yet)
  21. Hey that's pretty cool. I'm more compatable with Jon Bon Jovi than with my husband! But I am 99% compatable intellectually with my husband- if nothing else we can talk about it!
  22. Sorry Ellece, I spelled your name wrong. I flew into Milwaukee tonight, and I think the fog transferred to my brain. Laura
  23. I remember that like Eleice I also had a Donny Osmond album for my first album, I think that I was 11 or 12 at the time, and what's sad is that I think that I still have it. My first single, as a different type of contrast, was "Heart of Gold" by Neil Young. Don't ask my why I remember this, but I do. Laura
  24. I hope everyone has a happy, safe, and warm holiday season, and that Santa is good to all!
  25. The song that I dislike is "Lost in the Shuffle". It is just the one song that annoys me.
