hmmmm....just "googgled" Kazumi. That wasn't such a hot idea. I got over 700,000 results! If somebody has more info about her, we might be able to "googgle" her with more success. It is indeed a mystery.

I just did a search of the board and she hasn't posted since 11-13-2006.

'K--I have a better meal planned tonight! I am roasting a pan of veggies in the oven. For those that are curious, I cut up some potatoes, onion, cauliflower, broccoli, celery and carrots in a metal baking pan. I sprinked it with some extra light EVOO (extra virgin olive oil) and then I sprinkled it with an envelope of powdered ranch dressing mix. I am baking it in a 400 degree oven for 40 minutes or so and will stir it up a few times. For dessert? Why, chocolate mini donuts of course!!!! Blessings, Julie P.S.: feeling better today. Doc was more concerned that I was throwing a clot. Heart is fine, lungs are fine (as far as not having an embolism), asthma--not so fine. I need to get back on track with my health--I know that, just having some issues with motivation!!!

hmmm.....chocolate mini donuts for me. Not a very good choice--especially after spending part of the day in the ER with chest pains! My bad..... Julie

Oh yeah! That train scene really got the adrenaline going!!! It is very sad that more people weren't exposed to this movie and others like it. I do know that a lot of churches in our area are showing it. So glad I got to see it with other believers/followers. Kirk was really good and it is so refreshing to see an actor with his head on straight and having strong values. You're probably aware of the pact he has with his wife in regards to not kissing anyone else--even in a movie. If not, in a nutshell, in the kissing scene in the movie, he is actually kissing his real wife. Very cool and very inspiring that they have such strong convictions! Go Kirk! Blessings, Julie

They showed it at our church and I bought it and gave it to one of step-daughters. I really loved it. It was made by a church and they also did "Facing the Giants" and "FlyWheel" (I think those are the names, it's late and I'm sleepy!) Awesome, good clean movie! It was very inspiring. And, there really is a "Love Dare" book--got that for my step-daughter too to try! It was in theaters as a limited release. I don't think they had a lot of money to have a big release and the secular world isn't always very receptive to good, clean, wholesome movies with morals, values and depicting the Christian faith. Glad you enjoyed it! I loved that it was the kind of movie to make you laugh, cry, love and feel the pain of a relationship heading down the wrong path. (I just loved the older couple next door!!!) Blessings, Julie

That was the album that originally "hooked" me. Course, it was the 80's, so that explains the "80's sound". It hooked me because of "The Way We Used to Be"--a song guarenteed to reduce me to tears every time I hear it. Man, there's no reason that "TWWUTB" shouldn't have gone to No.1 in my book. Absolutely awesome song! It is perfection, IMHO. I still have a "sealed" CD of that album! I love every thing on it.

ya know, I wanted an elliptical, so I went to the local fitness center and tried a few out. It literally made me seasick! Lol! I just couldn't stand it. I do know they are really good for you though! Good luck!

"Tonight" sealed the deal for my husband--followed by "Ecstasy". For me, it was "I Can Remember"

Wendy--Facebook lets you block people. You can be 'public' if you want to be and you can also decide who gets to see your pictures and things. You can also send private messages if you don't want to post on your wall. You have to request people to be your friends. I've only been on a few months--maybe it didn't used to be that way.

I have been on Facebook for several months now and find it to be wonderful. I just joined the Raspberries group today as a result of this post! I mainly joined it to keep up with my step-daughters and my family, but have also found some friends on there. For me, it's much better than MySpace--that site just gives me a headache! Like Marvin said, it's just more "user friendly". Julie (Sioux City network)

.....and, then there are the songs with words that make no sense: case in point--Lionel Richie's "Say You, Say Me". What the heck????!!! I'd much rather hear the sha-na--na--la--bing-bongs.... Tony--feel free to chime in on this one--I now you have issues with this song too!

I'm sorry to hear this news, Jerry. Give yourself time to grieve. Reach out to others and find a grief group if you can to help you sort out your feelings. Many funeral homes offer free support groups. You're in my prayers, Blessings, Julie

Oh, and I've got to add that all of this comedic drama has pulled me out of my depression! Thanks for the laughs!!!! Blessings, Julie

I'm familiar with a lot of Sweet's music--I'm sure I have 45's of all of the stuff that waas played in the States. 'Course, I was in junior high when that stuff came out. I remember singing "Little Willy" to our bus driver all the time (his name was Willard). Anyway, back then my musical sensibilities (in-sensibilities??) leaned toward "Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods" (Billy, Don't be a Hero---and they also did "Teenage Rampage"! lol!). I was into Paperlace, Sweet, etc..... That stuff all reminds me of being in junior high now. Ugh. My musical tastes matured. The music was fun and happy, but ultimately--just like "Little Willy"--it wasn't "meaty" enough for me.

hope you're all happy! I just had Mountain Dew spew out of my nose!!!

Interesting..... My doc did tell me about aspirin and Advil, etc. He said that since I am on prilosec, I can take some Advil if I need to or the Tylenol. I doubt I'll ever to get to 2.8! It's taken me a long time just to get to 1.6! They didn't tell me anything about PT. I'll ask next time. On a side note, I had an interesting conversation with a gentleman who will turn 101 soon. He inadvertently stumbled upon the making of coumidine when he was a young man working in a lab with about 5,000 rats in Ames Iowa back in 1931. Said a guy had sheep that were dying after eating moldy sweet clover. He did an experiment and fed this to the rats and discovered that this would make them bleed to death internally. Anyway, he wished he would have applied for a patent, but..... He's really an interesting chap to visit with. He was on Omaha Beach back in the war and never got a scratch. He still drives, is very active, goes to the library all the time. It's really amazing! Shaving turned out great last night. It's so nice to have smooth legs again!!! Blessings, Julie

Hi Ted, Yes, the doctor did talk to me about those foods, but, he also said that he doesn't want me to neccessarily change my eating that much--he wants the meds to work in with my normal life. Honestly, I don't eat a lot of those things anyway. It is funny how different people react to meds. I have a friend who's son is on 30 mg of coumadin. I've had 17 shots and have been on coumadin since the 20th of January and I'm only at 1.6. Heck, I decided to go ahead and throw caution to the wind and shave my legs tonight! Lol! I'm sorry that I don't know what PT is. The only thing that comes to mind is physical therapy! Lol! Julie

Hi everyone! Thank you all for the kind words and encouragement! It really does help! I went to the doctor this morning and my INR is up to 1.6! Ideally, they want it between 2.0 and 3.0, so I still have a ways to go, but, I don't have to go to the ER for shots anymore!!!! I'm on 10 mg of coumidine! Yippee!!! I can't even begin to tell you how good of news this is to my ears!!!! The asthma is doing well. The pulmonologist has me on a great program and I pretty much feel normal! Things are looking up!!! Hope all of you are doing well too! Blessings, Julie

Nice to hear from you guys! Kirk--you're right! Michelle has a massive clot in one of her legs. Tom--mine is a DVT. They discovered it with doppler. I was pretty sure of where it was, but that confirmed it. They said it's pretty good sized. Reid--ugh on the bleeding. I've already had a nosebleed the first day. Dr. thought that was odd to have so soon. I hid my razor and I'm using "leg smoothers". My biggest fear was bleeding to death from shaving my legs! Because I was so short of breath and because my D-dimer level had gone from 400 in November (they tested it when I was coughing so much--before they found out I had asthma) to a whopping 5,000 on Monday, my doctor feels I may have had some lung involvement. He didn't do a CT scan because he said he wouldn't treat it any differently than he already was. I go to see my pulmonologist today for my asthma, so we'll see what he says. Not sure what caused it. I have been on birth control pills for years, so they think that could be a possibility. Thanks again for the support. Blessings, Julie

Hi guys, I haven't been around much lately, so thought I'd drop in. I was just diagnosed with a blood clot in my leg on Monday. Woke up in some pain and my leg was all swollen. Went to the doctor and I am having Lovenox injections every 12 hours for the next 12 days in the ER. Not fun. The website says it doesn't hurt. They've obviously never used their product!!! I'm on warfarin pills too. Not really sure why I have one, but it's kind of a scary deal. I'm having a lot of trouble sleeping--I guess I'm afraid I'll die in my sleep and no one will find me and my cats will eat me...... lol! Last month I was diagnosed with asthma. I'm trying to stay upbeat and positive. I have this dream where someday I become a Christian motivational speaker, and I'm thinking God is giving me all of these challenges so I'll have plenty of things to talk about!!!! Anyway, I'm just trying to adjust to all of this and I'm sure some of you have had a blood clot. I think it's pretty cool how they treat them now. Not long ago, they tossed you into the hospital. Now, I can even work as long as I keep my leg elevated and walk around every hour. Hope everyone is doing well. I have a facebook page if anyone would like to "come over". Send me a private message if interested. Didn't know if any of you did this or not. Blessings, Julie

Thank you, dear friends for the warm and fuzzy birthday greetings. I did manage to have a great day--my mom and I went shopping in Omaha ALL DAY. Can't really think of a better way to spend the day! Blessings to you all, Julie

But, I'm in need of prayers and positive vibes. I've had a nasty cough since Sept. 17th. Went to the doc 2 weeks ago and she gave me an inhaler to use. I've had a few days where I felt a bit better. Then, yesterday afternoon, I started wheezing and then, in the night I was having some trouble breathing and was gurgling! (Having never gurgled or wheezed before, it was mildly entertaining--for a little bit--then I got kind of scared. My ankles started swelling up and I was coughing up water. (How weird is that?) I was a bit light-headed as well. Anyway, went to the doc today and she was concerned that I might be going into heart failure (WTH!!!!) She did an EKG, a bunch of blood work and another chest xray. Everything turned out fine. She's a bit stumped. She perscribed me an Advair inhaler, some antibiotics and some prilosec (apparently reflux can show up in some of my symptoms) I had a tiny fever too I guess, but my white blood count was fine. She says if this doesn't help, she wants me to have a CAT scan because she is afraid I might have a tumor behind my heart that isn't showing up on the xray. Hmmmmm....... So, I'm kind of concerned. I've had a rough year and I'm a little scared. Anyway, I know you guys can work your magic here and I do so appreciate it! Blessings! Julie
