  1. Holy Smokes but that sure is Fifty Shades of Awesomeness right there!!
  2. This rules. It simply flat out rules. We had Tom at the club a number of years ago and not only does he still look amazing but he still SOUNDS amazing too. Although this really adds nothing to the conversation my "dream band" always consisted of: Tom Jones: Lead Vocals Ted Nugent: Guitar Lemmy: Bass Bun E. Carlos: Drums And they would play nothing but covers of 50's Rock & Roll classics. To this day I still get chills thinking about how awesome this would be. ... Just saying.....
  3. Another tip of the hat to the 'Berries courtesy of Paul Stanley can be found in the intro to "Firehouse" and the way it nicks the intro to "Making It Easy"....
  4. Why choose one or the other? Cheap Trick has "Surrender" (One of the greatest Rock songs in the history of recorded music) while Raspberries have "I Wanna Be With You" (One of the other greatest Rock songs in the history of recorded music). In the end it's a win-win situation for all of us!!
  5. Ahh... but do you have "Hawaiian Shirt Fridays"?
  6. Thanks for the info, Helen!! I have Pop Art Live but I haven't played it in quite a while. Now I have a reason to dig it out again!! I do know that the "Bonus Tracks" (a.k.a. the tracks otherwise available only on the vinyl release) are on Spotify (and I've listened to 'em plenty) are they also available on iTunes?
  7. Dunno who Tommy Allen is but I second this emotion!! Would LOVE to hear the rest of this!!
  8. Raspberries: I Wanna Be With You Solo: Change Of Heart
  9. - "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" (Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell) & "What's Going On" (Marvin Gaye) both courtesy of the Incomparable James Jamerson (my humble vote for the Greatest Bassist of All Time, if I may be so bold) - "Rio" (Duran Duran) played by John Taylor - "Le Freak" (Chic) played by Bernard Edwards (shoot, ANYTHING played by Bernard Edwards is an education in Bass 101 Master Class)
  10. One of the things I look forward to every year are the goodies that Santa Bernie would leave for us. He's never let us down before and he certainly didn't this year, either. With this being said, I wouldn't have complained One. Single. Bit. if that vision of loveliness pictured in Susie B's post was under my tree as well. Just saying.....
  11. Granted, this is one person's opinion so I'll give them that and I won't get too worked up over it. However, to have a "Funniest Movies of All Time" and "National Lampoon's Animal House" missing from it completely invalidates this list for me.
  12. Damn, this guy simply does not age. He still looks great and delivers each and every time.
  13. My post has absolutely nothing of value to add in this topic other than to say that, in my book, "Zenyatta Mondatta" is the coolest album title in the history of all recorded music.
  14. But you just talkin' 'bout Shaft!
  15. Ahhh.... Different stokes for different folks.
  16. Official as in "open to the public"? I'd say the last date of the Raspberries' Tour. Official as in "last time on stage"? I'd say the private show the Raspberries did at the Rock Hall.
  17. I poke my head in from time to time. Mostly lurking but chiming in from time to time as well.....
  18. This made my entire week and the week's not even over yet!! This rules, times one thousand.
  19. For Whatever It's Worth (and, believe me, it's not) lists like this cause me to post my own "Top 10". However, to make it interesting here are my all time Top 10 American Rock & Roll Bands: 1. Cheap Trick & The Ramones (tie) (after these two, the remaining eight fluctuate - the biggest word I've used all day - and are in no particular order here) - The Replacements - The J. Geils Band - Raspberries - Van Halen - Kiss - Bruce Springsteen & The E. Street Band - Alice Cooper - The Pretenders (due to my obsessive crush on Chrissie Hynde) Now, if one wishes to add non-American Rock & Roll Bands to my all time fave Rock & Roll Bands you could include: - The Rolling Stones - Hanoi Rocks - Manic Street Preachers - Thin Lizzy - Motorhead As one would expect, mileage may vary depending on the vehicle and the driver so, please, respect the road..... (All of the above is the result of finding a few Great Lakes Christmas Ales in the 'fridge tonight and having them for dinner.....) :-)
  20. I have the "Berry Berry Good" bootleg but it's been ages since I've listened to it. Pretty sure I have the Agora '74 show as well. If I remember correctly it was a radio broadcast.
  21. Which House of Blues venue was this? The layout (what I could make of it) looks a lot like Cleveland. However, I don't ever recall a time what we had padding on our barriers.
  22. Somebody told me there was a party going on over here!! I'll get the Buffalo Wings, who's getting the beer & pizza?
  23. Here's my Top-10 reprinted, uh, I mean, copied from AllMusic.com: All Time Favourite Eric Carmen Songs "Change of Heart" "Never Gonna Fall In Love Again" "Haven't We Come a Long Way" "Isn't It Romantic" "Foolin' Myself" "My Girl" "She Did It" "End Of the World" "Hey Deanie" "Living Without Your Love"
