If EC asked you what songs you wanted to hear from his solos albums at the NYE show which songs would you pick?

My top 5 would be:

1. All By Myself

2. Never Gonna

3. Boats

4. I Was Born To Love You

5. She Did It

You could make an argument that it wouldn't be appropriate, but on balance I think it would be very cool if they played "No Hard Feelings" given it's a Raspberries biography and is very high energy.-----Would love to see Eric Carmen belting out the climax at the end of the song with Wally next to him ripping angry the guitar parts.

I agree with Jennifer. This is Raspberries concert,so I just want all the members to feel comfortable for doing this. I still can't believe it happened, but Raspberries reunion is not a dream anymore. So my next dream is Eric's solo concert! Am I greedy? <img border="0" alt="[blech!]" title="" src="graemlins/blech.gif" />

Well, a Raspberries reunion involved some very opposing and hurt people, whereas an Eric concert is his decision. I think the former was the amazingly unexpected, and we are all feeling it was a dream come true because we never thought it could happen (but, "They were wrong", right Bernie ?? laughlaugh )

The Raspberries only had 4 albums so I dont see anything wrong with submitting a few solo album songs. The Eagles have done it and Paul Mccartney has done his music along with the Beatles. Wasnt most of the first Eric Carmen Album written in his Raspberries days anyway?

My husband and I are going to the NYE concert. We are staying at the HIE which I understand is near the HOB. I am looking for advice from the seasoned concert goers from Nov. on how to best dress to deal with the SRO issue. Is it warm in the HOB. Any advice would be appreciated.

I have my GA tickets in hand and am excited but want to be prepared. Thanks

I'll stick with your topic "Wanna":

1. Sunrise

2. I'm Through With Love:

3. Hey Deanie

4. It Hurts Too Much

5. Someone That You Loved Before

Yeah, yeah...obviously it's a Raspberries Concert, but we can dream, it's the purpose (and fun) of posting on this board and looking for a response.

3. My Girl

4. Hey Deanie

5. Get The Message*

* - Yes, I know it's not E.C. solo, but hey, if they can do Choir songs...

The topic of solo material was addressed, but vetoed because everyone was in agreement that this was a Raspberries showcase. But, I'll play along for the fun:

(in no order)

1. Last Night

2. My Girl

3. Boats

4. She Did It

3. Hey Deannie

4. Someday

5. Desperate Fools

6. American As Apple Pie

7. The Way We Used to Be

8. It Hurts too Much

9. Inside Story

10. I Could Really Love You

As I've said before, if they take the band on the road then I think they should add Carmen's solo hits as a draw ("All By Myself", "Never Gonna Fall in Love Again", "That's Rock'n'Roll", "Hey Deanie", "She Did It", and "Make Me Lose Control" but NOT "Hungry Eyes"!) What I would want to hear and what I think they should play aren't the same thing. There are a few solo hits I'd like to hear Raspberries versions but my preference would be for "It Hurts Too Much", "Take It or Leave It", "Tonight You're Mine", and "No Hard Feelings" (maybe even "American As Apple Pie")

*I* would love to hear Eric and Wally do I Could Really Love You! It's one of those songs I just have to keep playing over and over again, because it's just so perky and I love it. Like I Wanna Be With You, it just gets me in a good mood, no matter how I feel. There have been a few nights I've put it on when I've felt kind of ho-hum, and was in a really up mood in a short time. I think they would be dynamite on the harmony, and I just love the bridge to that song! (Don't think about NYE, Darlene! frown )

I like Marvins choice of music.

Only, one thing, that's missing, "Cindy In The Wind", LOL

I still love that song to listen to, today, tomorrow, the next day, next week, In two weeks,

all month long, the whole year, the next year.

And so on.

Cindy In The Wind- where are you? Lol

Hey if the 'berries can get back together, then Eric could do a solo tour later---so--

1-Sunrise ( lets face it this is his opening number)

2-Tonight Your Mine

3-Boats

4-Foolin' Myself

5-No Hard Feelings (A Great walk off song)

6- an encore of IWBTLY---unplugged!!!

(sorry Marv, but I really like the song)

Marvin, I too was pretty disappointed in Winter Dreams except for Cartoon World--it's a great song...up there with his best!

Ok as I promised, I don't want to knock "WD" anymore, but I'll answer James about "Cartoon World" - put some REAL instruments on there and you've got a REAL song. Eric's Beach Boys vocals are top notch.

But wouldnt it be cool if the concert started out with just Eric at the piano playing "All By Myself" solo and at the last chorus the Raspberies all appear to help him finish the song and then go into "I Wanna Be With You" c'mon you have to admit this is just too perfect. Theatrical Justice... No??
