Bernie, I asked a question about the cd set. I will preorder that and I know the vinyl set coming out in November will have 2 additional songs on it, but my question is: What is the DOWNLOAD Amazon says the vinyl set will have that the cd set doesn't? And what form will it take? Amazon did not explain. I asked the question in what I thought was this thread, but, silly me, it seems to have ended up somewhere else, and I'm not sure where! :)

Eric has found peace, love and understanding (which are never overrated), with his soulmate, Amy.  Anyone who considers themselves a good friend should be more than pleased that he's in that state of peaceful-soul-consciousness.  That's whether he's on this or any other site, right? ✌️❤️y'all!

Quoting ME,  "Eric has found peace, love and understanding...with his soulmate, Amy."   One could not wish for anything more for Eric on his birthday.

I think that this thread proves the staying power of ec.com.

There will always be fair weather fans who only arrive to see the star, and there are the long time fans who have made lasting friendships through this site who will always be here.  Look at the diverse locations where we all live... Japan, Panamá, Canada,  New Zealand, New Jersey, New York, New England, England, Louisiana, California, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Illinois and Ohio ...  all brought together as friends for the love of the gift of music created by the birthday boy...

I have been called a Pollyanna on many occasions, but I honestly believe that EC checks in to read the forum from time to time, at least I would like to believe that he does.

Wishing Eric a most joyful birthday and thanking him for so generously sharing his gift of music with us.

Also, thanking Bernie for making this forum for us to meet and share this gift.

:)

Thanks to Kirk and circumstances within our control, Eric Carmen got his birthday card! :D

Should we send Interpol to find the other members who did not wish him Happy Birthday on this site?

No, nobody should draft a book titled "The Death of............Forum" yet.

Darlene, wearing that mustard seed necklace means you have a of of faith. Something we all need to hold on to, especially these days.

Now that Eric's b-day has come and gone...I think it is very telling that with a new release only days away, Eric has not stopped by here to mention it!  Even when Eric's participation has waned in the past, when there was new music or concerts on the horizon, Eric would wake the fan base with some chatter about them on the message board...

Susie, like you, I'm eternally optimistic about EC.com.  My statement only reinforced what Bernie said about the immediacy of other social media and how message boards have become passé.  If you want to start a 'Pollyanna Place' for die-hard Eric fans, sign me up!

Eric, I hope you've had a fun tine celebrating!

Something I heard: Supposedly, Carol Burnett will have her own conedy show, again.

In regards to FaceB posters, the owner said the site has been a dissapointnent, having turned into arguments, etc. It wasn't what he had envisioned. He said he was leaving FB, by the end of tlhe year. He and his wife want to focus on health findings.
