  1. What Songs Are Missing In Action?

Bye Bye Johnny was another great cover they did. I was fortunate to see them do both Bye Bye Johnny and Little Queenie twice in St. Pete back in 1974 & 1975. Would be neat again... Steve-O
  2. What Songs Are Missing In Action?

I was always partial to the Chuck Berry covers they use to do. Little Queenie rocked!!! Steve-O
  3. Scott McCarl

I could go on for hours about Scott! Why Eric and his song "Play On" was never released as a single is a mystery. Should he/could he have been included in the reunion has been debated to death. Suffice to say he is an extraordinary talent, a genuinely down to earth nice human being, and to me always a RASPBERRY!!! Steve-O
  4. One of the better articles the chronciles the ups and downs of our favorite band. Would have been better had there been more discussion of the impact of the actual music (Overnight Sensation barely mentioned) but what the heck. Good job to all involved. Steve-O
  5. EC on Jeopardy

Watching Jeopardy. Eric was the $1000 answer for who sang All By Myself on the album titled the same. Kind of Cool. Eric Clapton was the $200 answer so I guess you have $800 bucks on him. Steve-O
  6. It Coulda' Been The Beach Boys

Beach Baby is one of the most under rated pop songs ever. Great Choice. Steve-O PS: What ever happened to First Class???
  7. Happy Birthday Eric!

All the best Eric ! Hope you have a wonderful birthday. Don't eat to much cake now! Steve-O
  8. "Should I Wait"

Rasberrywine: I couldn't agree with you more. It confounds me that country music hasn't discovered this song or Last Dance. Both of them have hit all over them. Maybe Dave or Wally should send them to a producer or two in Nashville. Steve-O
  9. Raspberries.net

Welcome back Marvin. As is usually the case your insights are right on track. Its been an interesting, yet, very sad disscussion, both here and on the Raspberries site. Whether or not Kay's viewpoints have any validity I think she crossed the line. When you moderate a website that represents an entity, in this case the Raspberries, you must remain objective. That not to say you can't be critical (Bernie hasn't always agreed with Eric) but one must walk that very thin line between objectivity and subjectivity. Clearly that has not been the case here. Like I said earlier I hope the band can resolve the issues and move on. Pop music, what's left of it, is much richer having the berries involved then not. Hope you have an enjoyable trip to Florida for your Easter vacation. Regards, Steve-O
  10. Raspberries.net

Yikes !!! Just read all of the stuff that Kay wrote. "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" seems to be appropriate. Not trying to be negative but simply from a from a fan perspective it doesn't look good. Kind of like my "Devil Rays" on opening day. I really hope that all this can be worked out to everyones satisfaction. We are all better off having the Raspberries together doing what they do best rather than all of this nonsense. Steve-O
  11. On The Spot...Pick One

Hey Eric, great reply. What about Scott's CD "Play On"? Have you heard it? What's your thoughts? Steve-O
  12. VH1 Performance

That's great news for us whose cable networks won't carry VH-1 Classics but will carry any number of networks devoted totally to home improvement ! Steve-O
  13. Eric: I have heard the Raspberries version of Locomotion/Be My Baby countless times. I also have heard the almost legendary tale how Todd Rundgen was at the Carnegie Hall concert, heard the Berries version and sold Grand Funk on covering the song and the rest is music history. My question is did the Raspberries ever considering covering the tune as a possible single or were you all more concentrated on your own material? Steve-O
  14. I remember seeing the "Party's Over" Rate-A-Record segment on American bandstand. I think it was on sometime in January,1975. Just saw the Berries at a live gig in St.Pete, Fl just before Christmas, then the American Bandstand show, then saw the Berries live again in February at the same place in St.Pete. Kind of like a ******** wasn't it? Steve-O
