  1. Lost in Shuffle cover

Not my favorite Eric tune, but this is a great version! Bernie
  2. A mention of a third song?

It was “Be My Baby.” Bernie
  3. Best unknown gem

One more. I guarantee nobody has heard of these guys. How I discovered these weird bands, I don’t know. And their styles are all over the place. But I like ‘em. Maybe you will, too.
  4. Best unknown gem

Here’s another obscure album I love: Cyndi Bullens’ “Desire Wire.” She was a firecracker singer/guitar player. This first album and her next were great. Then she switched gears and put out a bunch of unlistenable introspective music. But this album’s tunes still get spins on my playlist.
  5. Best unknown gem

I don’t know anybody who knows Robert A. Johnson (not the famous blues guy, hence the middle initial)—but his one album has been a favorite of mine since I bought it in the ‘70s!
  6. ABBA reuniting

The second song has more of that familiar ABBA sound. All-in-all, fans of the band are pretty overwhelmed with the new music.
  7. ABBA reuniting

The two new ABBA songs are really good for a band that hasn’t created new music in four decades. You can see the digitally created band perform at the end of this video.
  8. I don’t get this band at all..

I made this video, like a decade ago. Still funny! Bernie
  9. Ken Sharp…

Ken's a very talented guy. BTW, I did that album's cover artwork for him. Bernie
  10. Ken Sharp…

Ken's a very talented guy. BTW, I did that album's cover artwork for him. Bernie
  11. Anyone recognize this???

Whoever that band is, they're not our Raspberries. Bernie
  12. For you “Johnny Come Lately’s”

ERIC (https://lefsetz.com/wordpress/2011/05/08/eric-carmen-on-the-outsiders/): "When I was in high school in Lyndhurst, Ohio, there was a place called the Chagrin Armory, where the up and coming bands would play. It was basically just a huge, empty concrete warehouse, with terrible acoustics, but it could probably hold 1500 people. I heard The Outsiders were going to be playing there, and a couple of my friends and I decided to venture out from the protective cocoon of Lyndhurst to the wilds of Chagrin and check them out. I had heard "Time Won’t Let Me" on the radio, and, as a card carrying Mod, had turned my nose up at it. It had horns (yuch!) and organ (blech!) and it seemed to me the lead singer, Sonny Geraci, was a touch flat for the whole song, but, in the spirit of adventure, we ventured out anyway. They blew me completely away...It was years before I learned that Jimmy Fox played drums on the album (a lot of that time they credited MY drummer, Jim Bonfanti) but, I’ve got to say, all these years later, that record still holds a special place in my heart. It’s that "moment in time" kind of record, that takes you back to exactly where you were when you first heard it. Bernie

"ASK TRASK" ... why didn't Lew come up with this? Bernie
  14. Queen homage to the Berries?

Love it, of course! It's Queen! Bernie
  15. The Best Singers of All Time…

#2...Enya?!? What is this guy from Ireland? Bernie
  16. Where is this pic from?

“A Walk Down Abbey Road” in Hawaii. Bernie
  17. Foolin' Myself on stage in Japan

    Quite nice.
  18. It is incredible. Like hearing it for the first time, Lew. Bernie
  19. Looks good! I’ve been enjoying the expanded George Harrison “All Things Must Pass” CD set. Bernie
  20. Never Say Die

Lew, I made a few copies of that CD in the hopes that we would actually press and distribute it. But it never got that far. I think I sold one at an EC.com Garage Sale. Bernie
  21. The Enhanced Channel…

I believe this is the guy who re-records a bunch of instruments and adds them to the track with some embellished panning so he, in effect, creates a more stereophonic version of the song. Not remastered..."enhanced." Bernie
  22. Meet Jim Bonfanti 08/29!

  23. Never Say Die

I discovered the multitrack tape, Craig. When we were having it transferred, Tommy Allen had the idea of re-recording all of the instruments to give it new life. Bernie
  24. What are we doing here

It wasn't a photo, Vinnie. Just a comment I made about attending an "Oldies Show" and realizing that the average age of the audience made me rethink going to another. Bernie
  25. Charlie Watts-R.I.P.

RIP, Charlie—one of the original Stones. Bernie
